Configuring and Securing Windows Internet Information Server
Windows Server 2008 comes with Internet Information Services 7.0 (IIS 7.0), a Web server and security-enhanced, easy-to-manage platform for developing and reliably hosting Web applications and services. A major enhancement to the Windows Web platform, IIS 7.0 includes a componentized architecture for greater flexibility and control. IIS 7.0 also provides simplified management, powerful diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities that save time, and comprehensive extensibility.
In this 3-day instructor-led workshop, the participants will learn to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot an Internet Information Services (IIS) 7.0 Web Server in Windows Server 2008.
Who Should Attend
The primary audience for this workshop is individuals who want to become a Web Server Administrator in an enterprise environment. Also, individuals who are assuming a new role requiring skills to manage content served by an IIS 7.0 Web Server over an intranet, extranet, and Internet would be interested in this course.
The secondary audience for this workshop is individuals who are Web-based application developers who also possess networking skills.
Prerequisites
Before attending this workshop participants must have a solid understanding of a Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure and Application Platform.
